The My Company service is an innovative and easy-to-use online service portal where DNA's corporate customers can manage all of their IT and communication services in one location. The platform for logging on and identity verification has been created by GlobalSign, a technology company specialising in electronic authentication.
The innovative work of DNA and GlobalSign received international recognition at the end of May when analyst company KuppingerCole recognised the project with its esteemed European Identity & Cloud Award 2015 in the B2B identity category. The annual award is presented to the most innovative electronic identity management solutions in the world.
According to the judges, MyCompany is an excellent example of a fast and user-friendly electronic self-service solution that has brought considerable benefits to DNA and its customers.
DNA and GlobalSign worked together for several years to build the service and created a number of innovative operating methods. The work has benefited both parties.
“DNA has been a demanding and innovative client. They have openly expressed their needs for development in the areas of IT and business operations,” says Erik Sucksdorff, GlobalSign's sales director for Europe.
“During our collaboration, we received valuable ideas to better our own products. One example is the way we manage information coming from different systems and how that helped DNA move towards a single, unified user database. Users now always have timely and consistent information available. It is important to note that the services created, such as resetting the password, are independent of the terminal equipment, and their user interfaces have been designed with the ordinary end user in mind.”
When creating the service, DNA selected GlobalSign as the company offers the most advanced single sign-on (SSO) solution for online services on the market. Nixu Oy, a company specialising in demanding information security solutions, was responsible for adapting the ready-made software to DNA's service.
“A high level of requirements, innovation and the constant development of new online services are characteristic of our development work with DNA,” Sucksdorff says.
Co-operation began in 2012 when DNA started to develop the most comprehensive and user-friendly online service channel for companies. The objective was to create a service where company employees can, for instance, change the capacity or speed of their mobile subscription as a self-service function. As a result, many daily service requests are transferred away from the company's customer service and IT personnel.
In the MyCompany service, the main user of the company invites employees to become users of the service and authorises them to perform tasks in the service.
“We have helped DNA create a service that makes the daily management of corporate customers' IT and communication tasks online easier and faster. The service simplifies and accelerates processes as employees can themselves handle their business online,” Sucksdorff says.
