How DNA Safe Browsing works
- Safe Browsing is an add-on service for business subscriptions that is always active when using a mobile network. No separate application is required, and the service does not affect device performance. Safe Browsing also works abroad when your device is connected to a mobile network.
- Safe Browsing provides effective protection while browsing: when the service detects harmful content on a website, it blocks access to that site. The service is subscription-specific.
- Safe Browsing can be enabled on both mobile subscriptions and mobile broadband connections. When you use a Safe Browsing-protected connection with a modem or router, it protects all devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network – both at home and in the office. The service also covers browsing when you share your mobile data connection with another device.

DNA Safe Browsing isn’t working properly on my phone – what should I do?
First, check that your device settings are configured correctly.
The service only works when your phone is connected to a mobile network – it does not operate on Wi‑Fi.
Your device or security applications may include settings that encrypt outgoing network traffic via a proxy service. Examples include IP address masking or the use of a VPN. When these features are enabled, DNA Safe Browsing cannot filter encrypted traffic, and blocking of harmful websites may not function as intended.
The service filters the most commonly known harmful websites, and new sites are continuously added as they are classified.
