Through a Cable TV subscription, we offer you an enormous range of options in television viewing. Our basic range is already much more extensive than that of a normal aerial network. Cable TV is also a carefree choice for you, because we take care of all necessary updates on your behalf, and you will not incur any maintenance expenses.
To view DNA TV channels on the cable network, you must have
- a cable network subscription
- a digital receiver compatible with a cable network
- if you wish to watch pay-TV channels, you must have a cable card (EUR 2,52/month)
- if you do not live in the cable TV network coverage area, you can acquire the DNA Broadband TV service instead.
Cable Ready
The Cable Ready label on a set-top box confirms that the set-top box has passed verification tests and functions properly in Finnish cable television networks. Additionally, the Cable Ready label signifies that the manufacturer’s new s/w-updates can be offered through the cable network easily, thus ensuring that all the latest features are activated in the set-top box.
Cable Ready HD label on a digital receiver also confirms that HD pay-tv-services can be subscribed to the receivers.
The basic fee alone will provide you with carefree additional channels and, with a digital receiver and a cable card, you can obtain access to even more channels.
With a digital receiver, you can view the basic digital channels free of charge, i.e. YLE's, MTV3's and Nelonen's digital channels, Subtv and Urheilukanava, The Voice/TV Viisi, MTV Finland, TV5, Deutche Welle, TV7, SuomiTV, BBC World. When acquiring a Cable card, you will also gain access to Travel Channel, Eurosport, Star! and Turku TV.
In addition to the basic channels, you can order pay-TV packages, which offer a total of approximately 100 channels. For viewing the digital channels, you need a DVB-C receiver and a Cable card. The annual Cable card fee is EUR 2,52/month.
If you live in building run by a housing company, you should contact the house manager and propose that the house join the cable TV network.
