DNA is introducing data security services to mobile broadband modems: as of today, the Nokia CS-15 modem devices sold by DNA are equipped with DNA Internet Protection installation software. Users of other mobile broadband modems can download the DNA Internet Protection installation software from DNA’s website. The licence required for DNA Internet Protection is now available by order via SMS for all DNA mobile broadband modems.
The DNA Internet Protection service is developed by F-Secure. - DNA is actively developing mobile broadband services. This new productisation makes the introduction of Internet Protection easy even for mobile broadband modem users. Our aim now is to ensure not only the quality of wireless data transfer services but their security in use as well, comments Erik Sylvestersson, Vice President, Sales & Marketing at DNA.
- DNA Internet Protection is based on F-Secure’s latest technology in data security services for consumers. The new DNA Internet Protection provided with the mobile broadband modem takes up significantly less of the terminal device’s internal memory, so that data security will not slow down the operations of the user’s device. Adding such a premium quality data security solution to a mobile broadband service package ensures the best possible user experience for DNA’s customers, says Arto Kähönen, Key Account Manager at F-Secure.
DNA Internet Protection (Full protection) costs EUR 4.99 per month for SMS orders, charged on the subscriber’s phone bill. The service offers a free 30-day trial period, after which the customer can order the product with an SMS and pay for it on his/her phone bill. However, if the customer is unable to receive SMS subject to a charge, the DNA Internet Protection card including one-year licence is available at DNA Stores.
