DNA and Lännen Teletieto divest Anvia shares

Press release 23 December 2009

DNA and its largest owner Lännen Teletieto Ltd divested their shares in Anvia Corporation on 23 December 2009.

“Initially, Anvia shares were a strategic investment for us, but due to business restructuring decisions made by Anvia in the autumn, our ownership became no more than a financial investment. Therefore, we thought it best to bring an end to our ownership and continue normal business cooperation with Anvia, e.g. in retail sales of DNA’s services”, comments Riitta Tiuraniemi, President and CEO of DNA.

The changes in Anvia had the same effect on Lännen Teletieto’s holdings. “Anvia is a very interesting company, but in its current form it no longer matches our strategy”, says Jarmo Leino, Chairman of the Board at Lännen Teletieto.

DNA and Lännen Teletieto Ltd’s aggregate ownership in Anvia totalled some 18 per cent. The shares were transferred to the ownership of Anvia and closely connected parties.
