The telecom operator DNA, Finland’s largest cable operator, is actively developing its cable network in the capital region and other parts of Finland. As a result DNA has now doubled the upstream speeds of its current DNA Welho cable broadband subscriptions and also launched a new high-speed cable broadband service of 350 Mbps. The upgraded offering is available to all approximately 600 000 households in DNA’s cable network.
The upstream speed upgrade was conducted in May, and applies to all present and new DNA Welho cable broadband subscriptions with downstream ranging between 10 and 200 Mbps. The latest addition to the high-speed cable broadband offering is the DNA Welho XXL 350 Mbps product, which is being offered in all parts of the network, as well.

Multiplied data transfer capacity also in mobile networks
In addition to the fixed network, DNA has a strong focus on the mobile network quality and speed. Wireless high-speed 4G access is expanding rapidly - DNA uses both LTE (Long Term Evolution) and DC (Dual Carrier) technologies. DC 4G speeds are now offered by DNA in 180 localities, and DNA’s 4G LTE network with up to 100 Mbps speed already covers a million Finns. In April, the telecommunications engineering and consulting company Omnitele measured DNA’s 3G network to be the fastest in Finland, in their audit covering 15 largest cities and 2300 kilometers on the road.
